Giving it Up Just Isn't Enough

I hate what you've become these days
The naked truth appears 'neath these white sheets
As time stands still your time runs rampant
On these streets of indignity
Giving your love for fruitful distaste
Lying awake 'neath the waters at play
Your marks have appeared on the face of iniquity
Why did you leave? Why did you not stick with me?
Chained to these walls
I scream for you

Porcelain face hiding fragile mistakes
Your heart is blinded
Light is gone
Love has left you
Carry on

Turn this world around in ways
Axis rotation, incarceration
You cannot stop what you've become
Your love is given away
Leaving you with none
Like Jericho your walls have fallen
The trumpet yells reveal your calling
Your strength has diminished, it's time for you to come to me
Close all your eyes and maybe you will see
Depart from this cell
I dream of you

Porcelain face hiding fragile mistakes
Your heart is blinded
Light is gone
Love has left you
Carry on

Lying asleep on the arm of the chair
You come home and find me there
I know who you are
I know what you've done
Let me sleep
Leave me alone
